Newport City Council Meetings Schedule

City Council meetings are generally held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber on the second floor of City Hall.

Pre-meetings are held at 6:20 p.m. in the second floor Conference Room. During the months of November and December, the schedule may be altered due to the holiday season.

Regularly scheduled Council Meetings for the calendar year 2010 are listed below:

March 24	April 14	April 28	May 12	May 26
June 9	June 23	July 14	July 28	August 11
August 25	September 8	September 22	October 13	October 28
November 10	December 8

The Council's regular Wednesday night meetings are first aired on COX Cable channel 18 at 8 P.M. the following night and then aired throughout the period until the next meeting.

Those start times are approximate and depend on preceding program lengths.They are listed on COX Cable channel 17. For special meetings and workshops, please check the program schedule on COX channel 17.

A DVD of each City Council Meeting is also available for viewing at the Newport Public Library.
