Jamestown to Newport FerryThe Jamestown Newport Ferry provides a pleasant way to explore Narragansett Bay. Enjoy hop-on, hop-off access to downtown Newport, Fort Adams State Park and Rose Island Lighthouse. Present your ferry ticket at Rose Island, Fort Adams and the Museum of Yachting for $1 off the entry fee. Attend a cross-bay event such as the Sunset Music Series/Comedy Series at the Newport Yachting Center or the legendary Folk and Jazz Festivals at Fort Adams without the hassle of parking. Visitors approaching Newport from the west can leave their cars behind and board the Jamestown Newport Ferry from Conanicut Marina at One Ferry Wharf in Jamestown. Free day parking is available at Conanicut Marine's Boatyard facility (260 Conanicus Avenue) located behind the Jamestown Police Station. Additionally, there is usually day parking available in Jamestown Village four blocks uptown on Narragansett Avenue between the Fire Station and the blinking light. Call our courtesy shuttle at 401-423-7157 for a ride to the Ferry. Departures from downtown Newport to Fort Adams State Park, Rose Island Lighthouse or Jamestown Village leave from Bowen's Ferry Landing at Market Square and also from Perrotti Park on America's Cup Avenue adjacent to the Newport Marriott Hotel. |
