Come relax and play in our beautiful white sand ocean beach- surf the waves, ride our beautiful 1950's carousel, visit Save the Bay Exploration Center and Aquarium, or get married in a gorgeous beach front ceremony and celebrate in our newly refurbished ballroom.

Easton's Beach, located on Memorial Boulevard at the start of the Cliff Walk, is a 3/4 mile long surf beach with a board walk.

Volunteer Opportunities

Did you know there are three public beaches in Newport, RI? Besides Easton's Beach located on Memorial Blvd., there is also King Park Beach, located on Wellington Avenue and Bailey's Beach East, located at the end of the Cliff Walk at Bellevue Avenue. So you could imagine that there is always something that needs to be done at different times of year! Choose from the opportunities below:

Open Spring, Summer and Fall for parties and special events

Includes:

  • 2 hour party in Carousel & Patio Areas during general ridership time

  • Tables & chairs for up to 20 kids
  • Plain paper goods (tablecloth, paper plates, cups, forks, spoons and napkins provided)
  • Parking in short term parking lot for 2 hours

Public facilities include restrooms, indoor and outdoor showers, shade pavilion, playground, skate park, picnic and grill area, bike racks, first aid, carousel, an elevator and beach wheel chairs for persons with disabilities, snack bar and 2 public parking lots. (see parking rates below)

Rentals of beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas, bathhouses and surf boards are available daily.


Parking Rates
  • Seasonal Beach Parking Sticker Application
  • Easton's Beach Stickers can be purchased at the Tax Collection office, located at 43 Broadway, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday (except holidays)
  • Easton's Beach Stickers will be available at the Easton's Beach office, 175 Memorial Blvd., on weekends only starting Memorial Day Weekend. Starting the 3rd week of June, stickers can be purchased daily at the beach office. Please remember your vehicle registration and proof of residency

Weekday Rates

  • $10.00 per car- lots close at 9 PM

Weekend and Holiday rates

  • Up to $20.00 per car - lots close at 9:00 p.m.
Season Passes
  • Newport Resident- $40.00, Senior: $25.00
  • Non resident- $80.00, Senior: $45.00
  • Reserved Guaranteed No wait Center Parking (limited availability) - $95.00 Newport residents, and $135.00 for Non-Residents
  • If you did not have a Reserved Hangtag last year, you will need to submit an application and be placed on the Reserved Parking List. You will need to include the full payment (check payable to City of Newport) in the amount of $95 for a Resident of Newport or $135 for a Non-Resident. We will hold your application and check and will not process until we have contacted you to offer a Reserved Parking Hangtag for this season. The application will indicate where to mail the application and full payment. If no Reserved parking Hangtags are available, we will return your check to you.

Bathhouses

Bathhouses can be rented for the season or on a daily basis.

Bathhouse Seasonal Membership:

The bathhouses are open from Memorial Day weekend through the last weekend of September.

The rates for a bathhouse are:

  • Newport Resident: $175 ($250 - includes reserved parking tag)
  • Newport County Resident: $225 ($350 - includes reserved parking tag)
  • Non-Resident: $325 ($450 - includes reserved parking tag)
  • Senior (65+) Newport Resident: $150 ($225 - includes reserved parking tag)
  • Senior (65+) Newport County Resident: $200 ($325 - includes reserved parking tag)
  • Senior (65+) Non-Resident: $300 ($425 - includes reserved parking tag)
IMPORTANT BATHHOUSE INFORMATION

If you did not rent a bathhouse last year, you will need to submit an application and be placed on the Bathhouse Waiting List. You will need to include the full payment (check payable to City of Newport) in the amount of the bathhouse package you are requesting. We will hold your application and check and will not process until we have contacted you to offer a Bathhouse for the season. The application will indicate where to mail the application and full payment. If no Bathhouses are available, we will return your check to you.

Bathhouse Daily Rental:

Bathhouse rentals are $20.00 per family (per day) and are offered on a first/come first serve basis. Please stop by the Beach Office or call 401-845-5810 to reserve your space, up to one day in advance (starting at 9am when the office opens). Payment is due in full at time of reservation.

The bathhouse area includes a picnic area, shaded gazebo, private restrooms and hot showers. The bathhouse is the primary place to change to/from beachwear and to secure personal items.


For Your Safety- Easton's Beach is very proud to staff all State of RI Surf Certified Lifeguards - There is no ball playing, Frisbee throwing or kite flying allowed on the beach at any time- this is to insure all beachgoers comfort.

  • alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited
  • flotation devices are prohibited
  • no grilling is allowed except in the picnic area
  • no animals allowed on the beach property 24 hours per day from Memorial Day Weekend through September 30th (Newport City Ordinance 6.08.050, Restraint of Animals).
