► The Superintendent of Fire Alarm is responsible for the enforcement of the Rhode Island Fire Prevention Code, Chapter 8, Fire Detection and Alarm Systems.

Office of Fire Alarm duties include:

• Perform acceptance tests for fire alarm systems after installation
• Business license review for the Fire Marshal's office
• Maintenance of municipal fire alarm systems and street pull boxes
• Keeping all records of testing of fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems and suppression systems
